647 Hongkong, by Post. The boxes differ slightly in size and shape, but are exactly similar in the labelling.
The manager of Graça à Coy. states that he was quite unaware of the fact that there was any description
on the boxes under the labels, and there seems to be no
reason to doubt this explanation.
G. F. Rapkin perhaps could give further explanation. I would suggest it is probable that these boxes with the description in German had been made in
England for a German Firm previous to the war, and as they
could not be used as originally intended Rapkin had pasted Graça & Coy's label on them to avoid waste.
